Re: Peter Brock Memorial -- Bathurst 161 Laps
I certainly have seen the '2 driver teams' call
And love the idea
Is there any lee-way with single drivers ??
I have no problem with a flat out NO
I love the idea in the longer the better
But I honestly fall short of ruining someone elses race and/or having a teammate think alike.
Obviously fully aware of team driving and abilities, but I fall well short of confidence

Re: Peter Brock Memorial -- Bathurst 161 Laps
Typhon is out (annual day at the races.....he reckons the mayhem in the cutting at the recent ORA 6/24 would be a mild comparison if I let him behind the wheel after a day at the races.....lol) but I'm working on recruiting a new/old driver from the V8SC3 days......he's just got rF and ordered a new G27 so we'll see how he shapes up. He used to be pretty fast back in the day.

Hopefully i have now allowed Passengers and Hot swaps in pits,If there are people on the server can they test this and get back to me pls.

Re: Peter Brock Memorial -- Bathurst 161 Laps
The server practice session is too short Thmpar. I could only do one outlap and timed lap before it rolled to Qualy.
Also, this version of the mod doesn't have user adjustable steering ratio in the upgrades section so it takes a lot more wheel work to get them around corners.. much more realistic for sure.

Re: Peter Brock Memorial -- Bathurst 161 Laps
I'm in this, Butters and me maybe, we can hotswap within 2 feet of each other but it's still a hotswap, hmm the name won't change but that'll be ok eh. I could setup another computer for the night, might be fun.

Re: Peter Brock Memorial -- Bathurst 161 Laps
No objection s here, If anyone has a problem with Butta's and Pitsy doing the Race from one PC please Let me Know.

Re: Peter Brock Memorial -- Bathurst 161 Laps
I can get "the chair" back for buttas if needbees, it has a g27 and a fast computer, Rifty has it atm. then it would be legit eh.

Re: Peter Brock Memorial -- Bathurst 161 Laps
2 foot hot'seat'swap fine by me, or just cramp up Butta's just before your stint and watch Pitsy turn into a puddle
Also, to install this mod. Do we install 1.96 then 1.97 then 1.98B, or what please explain.

Re: Peter Brock Memorial -- Bathurst 161 Laps
Hey All,
I might put in a tentative yes to this at the moment.
I'll see if there is anyone who wants to share a ride
with me, otherwise I might put my hand up for a
co-driver slot if someone needs one.
Sounds like a great race. Did the ORA 6/24 earlier in the year
with Young-Joe and loved it. Would be great to get in a V8SC
and do Bathurst.
Also have a skin, it's on an ORSM car, but with a few tweaks
I should be able to transfer it over to FVR. It's the Bill
Patterson 1977 cars. I've done all three, just showing the Chivas/Roberts 26 as an example.
I'll lets youse know soon which way I'll go with own team or
drive with someone else.
Cheers

Re: Peter Brock Memorial -- Bathurst 161 Laps
From what I hear the Unleashed mod is a handful to drive competitively... it points nice, but is loose in the rear.. sounds like V8Factor.. and it is. The models look good except for the old interiors still in use... but I do like the sounds.. maybe the Holden sounds a little gamey (?)
The 1.98b version of FVR V8 is good too, it doesn't point so well and has no setup adjustment for steering degrees.. but is a bit more forgiving in the rear end department... the models are good inside and out.
Much of a muchness really.. each has good points and lacking points.

Re: Peter Brock Memorial -- Bathurst 161 Laps
Ok this is personal opinion only, and im not trying to influence others decisions.
I've always felt the unleashed mod was easier to drive than the FVR mod we are using at the moment. Right from the moment I jumped in and raced it the car just felt like i would expect it to, which is usually not the case for v8factor. Definitely had some extra confidence to throw the car around a little bit more just knowing that feel and expectation. Even in some quick races on the EAO server, was able to shadow box another car lap after lap going pretty much full tilt while trying to setup a pass. Still rate it as one of the more satisfying racing experiences ive had mainly just due to the car feeing like i would expect it to. I think the one thing that keep bringing me back to V8FU is it seems like its a more complete polished mod.
I can vouch for the good turn in, as for being loose around the rear its something i havent noticed too much. The old cockpits dont really bother me a great deal
In the end I guess its always going to come back to driver preference, what might be good for some isnt good for others.

I agree with Knightwolf completely.
V8factor Unleashed
I did a 80 lap race at KSR recently (fuel and tyres set at X2) and it was very drivable.
I can't get enough of this Mod at the moment....
