sorry to say but i'm going to have to pull the pin on tonight, I'm struggling with the track...

whenever i'm coming up to the Holden hairpin, my frame rate drops fairly dramatically (on average anywhere from 2 to 8 fps) and stays like that until i leave the next left hand corner...

I wouldn't want to ruin anyone else's race, so I'll sit this one out... I've tried downloading the track again, no idea, i've even tried different mods in the track, and it's still there!!

But look on the bright side, i'm going go get some practice in for next year... seeing i have until late feb off from school, i'd say i've got plenty of time! good luck tonight to all, I hope it's a great race...

Bullshit yr pulling the pin..
Try changing your rf config settings. I changed my dx settings and i think I have overcome the mottling of the track we spoke about on ts the other night. Drop your resolution down and try it again.

I went back to get smart again... beats working in a bacon factory for the rest of my life... got 2 years of uni to go, then i start doing what I want to!!!

I'll try dropping the resolution, even if I have to go0 to 800 x 600.... not gonna be pretty, but if it works, YIPEE!!!! i've got my DX setting on DX7, so they can't go any lower!

It would not of been enjoyable for anyone to race clean or close with the issues
That were going on. It'd the worst I have seen it.

We hope to get it all sorted very quickly.

Good news is a few of us being in the room for the last 30 minutes we had no track lag or ts3 issues.
Might have to put it down to back luck / rotten timing.

Sorry to all those that rocked up but we will run this race again next Monday.

Yeah we are having a couple of server issue's which led to the race being postponed unfortunately.

Have been speaking to the man in the know and we may need to get at least 10 people on line one night before monday to try a couple of things.

But i think the server is down at the moment due to weather.

Yeah normally Adelaide doesn't need to worry about storm water run off as we dont get enough rain but yesterday many houses were flooded in a very spread variety of areas combined with Darwin like thunder and lightning show. Many break downs yesterday.

My collapsed 6 sleeper high retaining wall will agree with that. It was old...unfortunately the 5 sleeper wall above it 400mm back isn't.

hmmm...looks like i'm gonna be a no show.
Gotta do a service call to Kerang some 3.5 hours away on Monday, will prob stay there.
Even if i make it home, after 7 hours driving I think my eyes will be sore enough.

I am interested... I should be able to buy it after new years, thank-you for the offer sticky...

I run that same 8800GT(OC) card and although the thing gets a little warm in summer it runs rFactor no worries with mid mobo + 2.5Ghz CPU.

Is there still a server issue?

I was going to jump in with you guys for one last hit out in these things, but even using the IP hasn't helped.

Yeah Quasi, unfortunately our JFF server has got water damage and hence we are out of action temporarily while we investigate which way to go now. You can see this in another topic.
